- Editor's Notes
- Dear Sir: At Mr. Auerbach's request, an interview took myself. Auerbach says Tomlinson is an utterly ruined man in this community, and wanted to know if something could not be done to give him back his character. I told Auerbach that Tomlinson had your money, and that the first thing for Tomlinson to do was to give it back to you. Auerbach intimates that perhaps he will advise Tomlinson to hand over the money. Lewis and I were very careful not to give away any part of our case. We answered no questions. If Auerbach or Tomlinson calls on you, perhaps it would be well for you to refer them to me. However, of course you will use your own best judgement about that.##If Tomlinson thinks he can beat us at law, he will fight. If he thinks we can beat him, he will call on you and give you the money. Nevertheless we cannot take the risk of giving them any of the facts of our case. Sincerely yours, S. B. Eaton
