Title
[D8958AAF], Letter from Julius H Block to Charles Batchelor, September 4th, 1889
Editor's Notes
Blocks writes a letter to Batchelor telling him he got the battery and the 24 extra cylinders too, but he had a few questions as well because he was successful when ready to demonstrate the instrument, with the single speaking hearing tube sent with the battery. And he didn't get a six-branch tube for reproduction so he tried to construct one for 8 people but the sound was very faint so he's asking to get a sketch of how to construct the 6 and 3 branch tubes. In addition, he has to construst the reproducing trupet and the big receiving funnel and wants to know a few hints about the size, or if that’s inconvenient he could use original attachments and would be happy to receive a invoice which he'll pay immediately. He says he really appreciates the 2 extra jars and coppers but the broke during the transpotation and the Soda arrived in a damp state and wanted to know will it affect the battery. He had no problem in setting up the battery or working the receiever & reproducer.
