- Editor's Notes
- Block writes a letter to Batchelor thanking him for mailing in the hand book. And he's mastered the instrument as far as recording and reproducing. He asks for his opinion on the idea of putting a hollow wooden sphere about 4 inches from the diaphragm of the reproducer, and attaching the double tubes for about 6 to 8 people and does he thinks it's worth it. In addition, he's experimenting with a few differently shaped receiving funnels and covers and will report if worth it. Also, he wrote to Mr. Insull in regard to dynamos, not knowing, whether the American Co. can sell to them there. He's also sent a few samples to a friend in N.Y. about some russian work in cast iron and enamel. And giving him and Edison an idea of working with metals in this country.
