- [from London] Hope you arrived safely. "I got the Agreement copied last Wednesday and set it up to Mr. Edison. Will ou tell me when you return the other to me at Walthamston if it is usual to have such documents stamped? Or does one dollar each to the other paid constitute a binding contract. In this country such documents have to be stamped within a certain perior or they are not worth the paper they are written on. We have not settled anything since you left except the side shows which are going on apace. They are now thinking of starting something with a penny in the slot business--anything but the thing. Me us hope for the best. It is close or [illeg line]
