- "I enclose you letter from Mr. Garland [D8959AFH]], from which you will see that the business which had been so far concluded with him as that he actually brought his money from Australia to England for the purpose, has been dropped in consequence pf the impressions he formed in which similar opinions have been expressed to me. I take consolation in the fact that it will have already been done it is impossible to estimate, and it will take a great deal to overcome it - to which end no expense or effort will be spared.### P.S. The writer of the letter you will remember as the gentleman you met at my office, Member of Parliament; and as he had interested with him the Crown Agent for the Colonies here and other influential gentleman, his dropping the matter is a serious injury. Part of his agreement was the purchase of 100 Phonographs-
