- Editor's Notes
- When I saw you a Llewellyn you asked me when I would proceed to Mexico. I told you as soon as you would have the two instruments ready for me, for nothing could be done without them. You were to have one specially for Gen Diaz and another for show. I wrote the President of your intention to present one officilaly to him through me.##I have been waiting patiently ever since, asking Mr Fox every little while. Yesterday he told me he understood the two were ready. Is it actually so? If it be true, when can I call on you conveniently?##In view of our own unexpected delay of course you will have to extend the time to botain the desired concession.##Please answer me at your earliest convenience, and also send me that Power of Attorney duly singed &c. Yours faithfully Thomas B Connery##P.S. That is a nice [thing?] for Gilliland & Tomlinson
