[ans Dec 19/89] My Dr Mr Tate Thanks for your dispatch advisingme of Mr Edisons absence from the Jerseys. It is unfortunate, but inevitable, I suppose.##Will you kindly inform me whether a letter for Col Gouraud, which I sent from Mexico, care of Mr Edison, was forwarded? I have received no word from the London magnate, and cant understand it.##Will you also inform me whether it is time, as I am informed, that one of the newest machiens are now on the New York market?
