- Editor's Notes
- As I had not seen his name in the papers, I was surprized not a little to learn froma friend yesterday that Col Gouraud was in New York. Will you give me his address by return post, as I wish to speak with him. Some days ago I received a letter on dispatch from Mr Tate telling me you would not return for two weeks, and I wrote him asking him to let me know if Col. Gouruad had received a letter from me sent from Mexico in your care. Mr Tate has not answered me, so that I am not a little puzzled. Yours faithfully Thomas B. Connery [PS] I was most anxious to confer with you as to the kind of cylinder suitable for the Mexican post office. Mr. Ceballos was very desirous of conferring with you also before completing the organization.
