Title
[D8964AAG], Letter from William White Jacques to Thomas Alva Edison, February 21st, 1889
Editor's Notes
Will you make for us as soon as you conveniently can, two macines for cutting the tin ring records. By the way, we find an alloy very similar to Babbit metal, very much superior in the quality of tone to the two ringswe have formerly used.##I have had an attorney draw a contract for the manufacture, on the lines of that prepared by Mr. Tate and will bring it over in a few days for your approval.##We have one hundred thousand (100,000) dolls bodies ordered from Germany, and they will be ready for you to put the phonographs into very soon.
