- Editor's Notes
- Referring to your favor of the 30th ult., when I went to Boston to arrange the matter of the contract for making Phonograph Dolls, I took with me a movement inside of a body so as to show the Phonograph Doll Company exactly what kind of a body we propose to provide them with. On Mr. Batchelor's suggestion I told the directors of the Doll Company not to consider the body I took a model--the work was far too rough for us to put it in as such. Mr. Batchelor promised to have another body put in shape and let me have it so that I could file it with the Doll Company as the m odel agreed upon. If this model has not been prepared it should be immediately, and I would like to see it before it is sent to Boston as I want to be sure that it complies with the exact form of the doll body on which I took the order to go ahead and manufacture.
