Title
[D8964ADJ], Letter from Alfred Ord Tate to Daniel Weld, November 27th, 1889
Editor's Notes
I enclose hereiwth copy of a leter which was addressed to yor Company by Messrs. Dyer and Seely, Mr. Edison's patent attorneys, on the 19th of October, 1889. referring to certain improvements I the constructon of the toy phonograph patented in this country, and asking for the decision of your Company as to whether the same should be patented abroad. A copy of the claims allowed in the United States, together with an office copy ofhte drawing, was forwarded your Company by Messrs. Dyer & Seely with their letter above referred to. They now advise us that they have never received any reply to their communication addressed to yourselves and ask instructions in regard to the issue of the U.S. patent. The matter seems to me to have been one of sufficient importance to have called for immediate attention on the part of the Toy Phono Company. I shall be glad to have your advice on what they propose to do. Yours truly, A. O Tate Private Secy.
