Editor's Notes
Philadelphia, March 23rd, 1889####Mr. Thos. A Edison####Orange, N.J.####Dear Sir:--####Your favor of the 22nd is at hand and in reply would say that the instrument sent you is presumably a sample of Zeiss is best workmanship in the line of photographic apparatus and of his latest make. we will however write to him in regard to your complaint to see if possible we may be able to obtain any concession from him on account of your laim. We did not open the large photographic apparatus, but the small one appeared to be entirely free from the defects that you mention. We will write to the maker by first steamer and any concession, that we may possibly be aboe to obtain, will be placed to your credit.####Yours truly.####Jas. H. Queen Co####DSR Co####[name mentions: James Queen & Co., Thos Edison, William Dickson, Zeiss Optical Works]
