If having failed[?] my job to look after patents taken out by women with a new + showing them in the Woman’s building during the progress of the World’s Fair, I take the liberty of asking if you can put me in the way of getting any information on the subject. Of course my work is confined strictly to women in this state, and if you also know of any vocation of an unusual character in which women are engaged, it will help me very materially in my work. This may seem to you to be a most unusual request but it occurred to me that you might know of something which would be of particular interest to the Board of Lady Managers and at the same time add quality to their own particular exhibit. Hoping you may know of something in this line of life, and that I may hear from you I remain
Yours very truly
Mary E. Bussell
