Advised Latrop of your absence M Receive Dec 29 1892 Ans’d Jan 9th 1893 Dec 26/92 My Dear Tate: About a month ago, just before going to New York to start on a lecture tour. I wrote to you, saying-with reference to your first or to some literary work-that I would meet you in N.Y. Saturday Nov. 26, I think it was, if you would make an appointment. I did not hear from you in reply, + have not heard since. Will you kindly write to me here, at once, letting me know what the nature of the work that you had in mind, + also whether you wish to see me when I next come on N.Y.,- which may be in ten days or two weeks? Very truly yours G.P. Lathrop
