RECEIVED Jan 25 1892 New Orleans Jan 23rd 1892 Esteemed friend-I write you a few lines notify you of the fact that we arrived in New Orleans last night and are very comfortable at Sally's House 161 Pordina St.-We left Port Huron on the 18th get to St. Luis near right where the weather was colder and the snow deeper than at Fort Gartior. Next morning started for New Orleans and got here on night of 2125. We are going tomorrow to see Jackson's battleground. When we get to Florida will write you again. Yours truly, James Symington
