Received Feb 5-1892 OK Johnny Fort Myer's Feb 1st 1892 I take pleasure in announcing to you that your father and I have arrived at Fort Myers yesterday. Found in the place in much better condition than in Hobble's time thanks to Mayor Evans and his man. We went by way of St. Louis and thence straight to New Orleans where he was duly intended by the Newspapers who in there comments universally admitted that your father was a great producer. I enclose one of them two thirds of were evolved out of the Reporters imagination. We left together on January 18. Among your many kindnesses would you be kind enough to send a charge for 30 dollars to Mr. James Symington Port Huron. so she could pay up the Bank for 3 for I had to get that amount out of the bank to prepare myself for this trip with your gather. This is somewhat ahead but as understood the same as last year. Your secretary can regulate that for the future. I will from time to time report. Yours truly, Ja Symington
