June 22, 1892. Dr. Paul Carus, La Salle, Illinois. Dear Sir: Your letter of 2nd instant is received and contents of same have been noted. I have no objection to your republishing my [-----] on the Intelligence of Atoms, and I return to you herewith the copy of article containing same which accompanied your letter. I have made no alterations in the article, it being correct as it stands. Please accept my thanks for the copy of your book entitled “The Soul of Man,” which you very kindly sent to me. I will read this volume at the first opportunity, and have no doubt I will find it very entertaining. The copies of “The Monist” and “The Open Court,” referred to in your communication, have also been received, and they contain much matter the perusal of which I will enjoy. Yours very truly,
