July 6th, 1892. Mr. Louis A. Robert, Sup’t., Georgia Phonograph Company, Atlanta, Ga. Dear Sir: Replying to your letter of 29th ultimo addressed to Mr. Edison, I beg to any that I know of no method better adapted for your purpose of charging storage cells from a 500 volt motor driving a low volt generator. If your plant is not adequate, I can only [conduct?] duplicating of enlarging it. We do not employ storage cells for the phonograph ourselves, but invariably use the Edison-Lalande cells, which are found to be much more satisfactory. Yours very truly, Private Secretary
