Mr dear Sir: 
In reply to your letter of 29th ultimo, I beg to say that the outfit concerning which we had a conversation in Chicago, is not yet ready. As I explained to you, it will consist of a motor and a generator. The motor will be wound to run on 120 or 500 volts, and the generator will deliver about 20 amperes of current at a pressure of about 6 volts. I do not know how you can avoid using current from lighting stations when you employ storage batteries, unless, of course, you charge the latter from primary cells. It certainly must be cheaper to charge them from electric light circuits. As soon as the outfit above referred to is ready I will advise you.
