July 9, 1892.
Mr. W.H. Henderson,
P.O. Box 712, Providence, R.I.
Dear Sir:
Mr. Edison has received your letter of 6th instant in regard to the North American Phonograph Company, and in reply has directed me to say that he has taken hold of this Company, and that he has great faith in its future. He believes that with proper management a large and profitable business in phonographs can be done, and that the instrument has only to be brought before the public in the right way in order to create a demand for it. Mr. Edison is going to put his own men in charge and no effort will be spared to make the Company a success.
Yours truly,
Private Secretary.
