D9211ABE July 14, 92 Mr. W. Torrey, Abilene, Texas. Dear Sir: In reply to your letter of 2nd instant addressed to the Edison Electric Light Co., Menlo Park, N.J., I beg to inform you that Mr. Edison has not invented an “Electrical Ear Drum,” and if such an article is being offered to the public as his invention, it is a fraud, to which effect please inform the physician of whom you make mention in your letter.
