July 15, 1892. Field Engineering Company, Mr. E. J. Cook, Constructing Engineer, New York City. Dear Sir:- Mr. Edison has asked me to thank you for your two favors dated respectively July 13th and 14th, in regard to an engine for the Ogden Works. He is very much obliged for the information contained in your letters and for the very prompt manner in which it was furnished. As explained to you by telephone, Mr. Edison has decided to defer the purchase of an engine until the fall, when he will be in the market for a triple expansion. Yours very truly, Private Secretary.
