July 19, 1892 Mr. L. D. Fredericks, No. 72 Schaeffer Street, Brooklyn, N. Y. Dear Sir:- Your letter of 12th instant, relative to the decision of the Commissioner of Patents in the Edison-Swan case, was duly received. This case is a “back number” and unimportant; it will not be reopened by Mr. Edison, as he does not consider it worth while to do no. Your offer of assistance, for which Mr. Edison is much obliged, cannot therefore he availed of. The decision of the Commissioner does not amount to anything. Yours truly, Private Secretary.
