July 26, 1892. Francis R. Upton, Esq., Edison Gen’l. Elec. Co., Harrsion, N. J. Dear Sir:- I beg to refer to you the enclosed communication which was received by Mr. Edison from W. E. Simonds, Commissioner of Patents, Washington, D. C., in regard to the proposed exhibit of the Patent Offices at the World’s Columbian Exposition. If you can comply with the Commissioner’s request, Mr. Edison wishes you to do so, and also to answer the Commissioner’s letter. Please read Mr. Edison’s pencil note to this effect.
