September 3, 1892 Cav. Carlo Barsotti, Chairman of the Executive Committee for the Monument of Christopher Columbus, New York City. Dear Sir:- Your esteemed favor under date 8th ultimo, notifying Mr. Edison that at the last meeting of your Committee he was unanimously acclaimed, Special Honorary President, was received here to-day in his absence. Your communication will be placed before Mr. Edison immediately after his return to the Laboratory. He is expected here early next week. Yours Respectfully, Private Secretary.
