Sept. 9, 1892. R. D. Benson, Esq., Treasurer, Magnetic Iron Ore Company, #12 Broadway, New York City Dear Sir:- Mr. Edison has received your letter of 7th instant asking permission for your Superintendent, Mr. Edwards, to visit the N.J. & Penn'a. Concentrating Works at Ogden, and he regrets that he cannot comply with your request. Mr. Edison has made it a rule not to admit visitors to the mill. He knows that this is not the correct thing to do, but he has had a very unfortunate experience; hence the rule. Yours truly, Private Secretary.
