Sept. 14, 1892. S. P. Langley, Esq., Secretary, Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D.C. Dear Sir:- The four galvanometer mirrors which you sent to the Laboratory some time ago are being returned to you by to-day's mail, platinized as desired. The operation was somewhat difficult, but the result I hope will be satisfactory. Mr. Edison regrets the delay which has occurred in giving this matter attention, but the same was unavoidable.
