Mr. Edison,- I enclose herewith a letter from Mr. Greene, in regard to exhibition one of the original “Jumbo” machine at the World’s Fair. I have told Mr. Greene that I have no doubt you will be glad to do anything you can to assist him in obtaining one of these machines, and I attach also a draft of a letter to Mr. Bowker, which if you approve of, kindly sign. Nov. 14, 92. R. R. Bowker, Esq., 1st Vice-Pres’t., The Edison Electric Illuminating CO. of N. Y. 15 & 18 Broad St., New York. My dear Mr. Bowker,- I am making at the World’s Fair, in the spaces allotted to the General Electric Company, a historical exhibit, in connection with which I would like to procure one of the original “Jumbo” machines now in the possession of the New York Illuminating Company, as an example of the first direct connected machine built. I understand that you will probably have finished with these machines by next spring in the old Pearl St. Station, and if your Company could loan one of them for the purpose stated above, I would appreciate with their courtesy very highly. Yours truly,
