Dec. 16, 1892. Mr. Henry C. Demming, No. 17 North Third Street, Harrisburg, Pa. Dear Sir:- Mr. Edison has read your letter of 6th instant, in regard to the purchase of mineral property in Bracket Township, McDewell Co., North Carolina, and in reply directs me to say to you that he has been pretty well over the South personally and is afraid to go into anything in that region. Thanking you for your letter I am, yours truly, Private Secretary.
