D9225AAF Letterhead: Edison General Electric Company 175 and 179 Adams Street Chicago, IL. Chicago Feb. 24, 1892 Mr. Edison: Rumors of all sorts are published about you and your future intentions; the only confirmation of these rumors has been the large amount of stock having been sold within last two weeks. All I desire to say Is this; should you require my services, such as they are, you personally, have the first call on them. Where I shall stand in the new shuffle I know not. The party who is reputed to have engineered the deal use to have no love for me. While there is no one in the district that has covered more ground and has been better posted ( during the past year) on the general situation than the writer, yet that may cut little figure in the result to myself. Sincerely, [Signed: W.M .F. Brewster] 419 Maple Ave Oak Park Ill.
