Thomas A. Edison, Esq.,
Dear Sir:
I am in receipt of Private Secretary Tate’s letter of the 15th inst., enclosing the letter of the 2nd inst. from the Edison and Swan Company to you. That Company says that they will no longer pay the renewal fees on the patents mentioned in their letter, and Mr. Tate asks whether the General Electric Company wish to take action in the premises. That is to say, will the General Electric Company pay the renewal fees rather than have the English patents expire?
I have taken this matter in hand and shall give it my best attention, though there may be some delay on account of most of the people I wish to consult being away on vacation.
In due time I shall report to you at length.
Very truly yours,
Grosvenor Porter Lowrey
