Mar 24/92 Thos A. Edison Esq, Orange, N.J. Dear Sir: When I had the pleasure of an interview with you relative to the concentrations of magnetic ores in the South Appalachian region now remarked that you were uncertain about a market for the product. I have this week forwarded to you a map showing furnaces that would draw a supply of concentrates from the require under discussion, and a table showing the remarkable increase in furnace capacity in the South Appalachian region. I was induced to prepare such a map from your remarks. I believe you will see from this that the market is already assured and that it will grow steadily. The abundant + cheap water power near the magnetic deposits will ensure cheap power for mining + crushing the ores. Very truly yours, John R. Proctor State Geologist
