WHERAS, I, WLLIAM K.L. DICKSON, or Orange, in the County of Essex and State of New Jersey, did obtain jointly with THOMAS A. EDISON, of Llewellyn Park, in the County of Essex and State of New Jersey, Letters Patent of the United States numbered 434,588 and dated the 19th day of August, 1890, and granted upon an Improvement in Magnetic Ore Separators; and
WHEREAS, we are now equal owners of the entire right, title and interest in and to said Letters Patent and the invention covered thereby; and
WHERAS, the said THOMAS A. EDISON is desirous of acquiring my entire right, title and interest in and to the said Letters Patent and the invention covered thereby.
NOW THEREFRE, be it known that, for in consideration of the sum of One Dollar, to me in hand paid by the said Thomas A. Edison, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, I, the said William K.L. Dickson, have sold, assigned and transferred, and by these presents do sell, assign and transfer unto the said Thomas A. Edison, his heirs and assigns, my entire right, title and interest in and to the said Letters Patent were granted, the said Letters Patent to be held and enjoyed by the said Thomas A. Edison, his heirs and assigns, for the full end of the term for which said Letter Patent are or may be granted, as fully and entirely as the same would have held and enjoyed by said Edison and myself had this assignment and sale not been made.
