My Dear Tate:
I received a shortnote from you the other day in reference to the receipt of the horse snowshoe and also as to the shipment of the balance of the horse. Frankie also received an invitation to your Dorothy’s party, but unfortunately the invitation arrived a little too late to attend.
Lombard has been negotiating with me in reference to the nickel-in-the-slot weight machine and I sent him all my patent papers in the caset but for some reason or other, as with many matter touching the Phonograph the whole thing seems to lag. I want to ask you, if you can to expedite the matter. Lombard being apparently domiciled in Chicago, no doubt retards it somewhat. I want to ask concerning another thing, a couple of years ago I paid in $2500 to the Automatic Phonograph Exhibition Co. can you tell me whether there is a probability of any portion of this year ever being recovered.
Very truly yours,
