Thomas A. Edison, Esq., 
Dear Sir:- 
On behalf of Edison United Phonograph Co. we enclose papers of assignment sent to be signed by you after filling in date, where indicated in Pencil before a notary public, who will also sign where indicated in pencil, and then send to the County Clerk with instructions to attach his certification to the notary’ signature to each and instructing the County Clerk himself to forward same directly to us who will pay his fees. We enclose also copy of the correspondence of the Foreign Committee and the patent agents, by which you will perceive that it was impossible in all cases to incorporate the reservation for dolls &c. The Company will however in each case where such reservation is not included when the patent shall have been recorded in its name, execute without expense to you a license in the form already agreed for case 96.  
Kindly attend to the above immediately and oblige.
