<Marginalia: Original sent to Eaton April 12/1892> April 11th, 1892 Thomas A. Edison, Esq., Dear Sir:- On the 23rd ult. we enclosed you a number of proposed assignments of phonograph patents to be signed by you before a Notary, and we received Mr. Tate's of the next day stating that they had been referred by you to Major Eaton, but we have not heard anything of them since. Will you kindly give the matter your attention. We also in behalf of Edison United Phonograph Company enclose proposed power for Portugal which kindly execute where indicated in pencil before a Notary who will sign as indicated in pencil and then send to County Clerk with instructions to attach his certificate and then forward directly to us who will pay his fee.
