Mr Seligman—
It is impossible to come now. You have of course full authority to do anything you please except where it relates to manufacturing – for this I want what I first wanted quarter of cash stock for right
If you desire to know how quick we can make machines I answer that we can put any number of men on them.
Edison.
Mr Edison –
We want your authority as a member of the Board to authorize the execution by the President and Secretary of a Power of Attorney to Mr S F Moriarty to execute a contract on behalf of this Company which contract shall be subject to ratification by the Board of Directors. it is absolutely necessary that we have your consent at once in order that we may catch the steamer which sails very early tomorrow morning
We have telegraphed Mr Cochran to come over to sign these papers this afternoon
Mr. Seligman.
Seligman,
You have a quorum without me – after you telephoned not to come I had a meeting called of one of my companies and I cannot leave it.
Edison
