Letterhead of W. R. & W. Smith & Co.
S. F. Moriarty Esq.
London.
Dear Mr. Moriarty,
I am much concerned at not having had a letter or telegram from you regarding your visit to [illegible text], and as my friends are very anxious about Webster, [Lockwood?] and Moulton, I thought it best to telegraph you, as per enclosed copy, and hope to have a wire from you in reply on Monday or Tuesday at latest.
I am very anxious to avoid the possibility of any hitch at the last moment and therefore beg of you to leave no stone unturned to get all these matters straightened, and put all in order.
Yours faithfully,
W. Alexander Smith
<Just got your wire from Liverpool– hope you will be successful in getting what you meant from this – G.O.M.
