Letterhead of Law Offices of Dyer & Seely New York, December 30, 1892. A. O. Tate, Esq., 44 Broad St., City. Dear Sir:- We have examined the assignment enclosed in your letter of 27th Inst. and we return the same herewith. This assignment conveys from Mr. Edison to the Edison United Phonograph Co., the entire interest in seven patents in India on the phonograph, except as the phonograph is used on dolls, toys, toy figures and clocks. If, as we understand is the fact, the Edison United Phonograph Co. is entitled to Mr. Edison’s phonograph inventions for India, we see no reason why he should not sign the assignment which seems to be in proper form. Yours truly, Dyer & Seely (Enclosure)
