Letterhead THE NORTH AMERICAN PHONOGRAPH CO.
Oct. 20th, 1892.
A. O. Tate, Esq., Secretary,
Edison Phonograph Works, Orange, N.J.
Dear Sir:-
Mr. Keating mentioned to me the other day incidentally that he understood that the New Jersey Company was about to start making their own blank cylinders, and an inquiry was made of him, as to where broken cylinders could be purchased. My reply to Keating was to let me know more in detail as to the intentions of the New Jersey Company. It seems to me, that it might not be inadvisable to crowd all our refuse staff into them, and then if it was thought desirable to some down on to them and prevent the infringement of any patents, if any such exist.
Kindly give this matter your attention.
Yours very truly,
[Signed]
TREASURER.
