Letterhead Harper & Brothers
New York Nov. 18, 1892.
Mr. Thomas A. Edison
44 Broad St., N. Y.
Dear Sir:
The North American Phonograph Co., has requested us to insert advertising for their account to the extent of about $550.
We, of course, are very glad to open an account with them, but we have been unable to ascertain satisfactorily their financial standing. Would you be kind enough to inform us if in accepting this order we are running anything more than a fair business risk?
Thanking you in advance for your courtesy, we are,
Very truly yours,
Harper & Brothers
