Feb. 25, 1892 Mr. Edison Tate has written me two letters in regard to my being at Lewis Office to narrow on some suits on Phone Doll he now [sent?] me a telegram saying it is necessary that I should be there as It involves a large sum of money. Do you think it is necessary, it is the first I have heard of it and I do not know what they want to know. The buyer will be returning tomorrow and I want to be there but of course Thomas can miss it. [Signed: Batchelor, Charles] Charles Batchelor Toy Company has bought suit against Phonograph Works for $150,000 for Breach of Contract. We have to go into details of manufacture and as you have full information your examination and testimony is necessary you can return tomorrow afternoon.
