[FI001AAZ], Letter from Mary Valinda (Mrs Lewis) Miller to Thomas Alva Edison, Mina Miller (Mrs Thomas A.) Edison, January 13th, 1887

Editor's Notes

15-7863. Received your letter at noon. We're glad TAE is improving. Hope you both will have a good time getting ready for Florida. Hoped you would come to see us on your way South or on your return. Hope you can come and stay till after the wedding. TAE can stay with me and you go with Cora. Robbie and Louise will be disappointed if you aren't at the wedding. I think it would be better to pack everything together. I told Maime to take anything that is nice. It would be nice, if not better, to take the little boys. If you leave the boys with other folks they will become attached to them, although it will be easier for you not to take them. Talk to TAE. See what he thinks about it and then do as he likes. I would try not to mention or think anything about Dot. Try to please her and above all please TAE. Can't please everyone. Don't try to fix up your room now. Get someone to do the sewing. "I expect Dot thinkes it is nicer and more proper for her to say Mrs. Edison for the reason you are so I would not let it bother me." Be kind to her. Eddie will start Saturday and be at your home Sunday, if all right with you.
