Title
[FM001AAE], Letter from Jane Eliza Miller to Mina Miller (Mrs Thomas A.) Edison, December 17th, 1885
Editor's Notes
11-6124. Received yours this afternoon; intended to send my letter with TAE but thought he was not coming; he came after it was mailed; "I am glad Mr. E. likes me for I feared he did not and then I think the Gilliland's do not like me but I don't care so much about them." If you don't want to become part of the Vincent family, you should think no more about them; if you truly love TAE, should wait a year to better understand how you loves him and avoid making a mistake; lost two nights' sleep worrying about the style, number, and cost of your clothes, sheets, and towels; if you've decided to marry TAE in Feb., I expect you've discussed household matters with him and mother; will leave here for home tomorrow eve; getting ring made for Marni and making other purchases; relates story of visit to Mrs. Gilliland and uneventful Miller family gossip;
