Title

[FM001AAR], Letter from Jane Eliza Miller to Mina Miller (Mrs Thomas A.) Edison, July 21st, 1886

Editor's Notes

14-7637. Arrived at Chautauqua yesterday; Firestones are here at Uncle Jacob's cottage; Dr. Vincent's been away, returns tomorrow; everyone asks if you and mother are coming; don't know what you intend; Thomas and the little (one) are well and enjoying themselves; their hair is cut short and they are "tanned as can be" and love the grapes and peaches; was kind of you and TAE to see us to the train; am ashamed at becoming vexed, but was surprised when TAE said we only had "a few moments to make the train"; your home is beautiful, and you and TAE made my visit so agreeable I regretted leaving; hope TAE returns early evenings to have pleasant drives and visits with you; tent and cottage here are ready; hope you won't defer your visit; Grace and Marion occupy the tent; "They have a nice company of boys and girls"; give love to TAE and tell him to write a few lines.
