WHEREAS I, JUSTUS B. ENTZ, of New York, in the County and State of New York, have invented a certain new and useful Improvement in Dynamo Electric Machines for which I am about to make apllication for Letters Patent of the United States, and WHEREAS Thomas Alva Edison, of Llewellyn Park, Orange, New Jersey, is desirous of acquiring the entire interest in and to the said invention and in the Letters Patent to be obtained therefor, NOW THEREFORE TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN, BE IT KNOW that for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar to me paid by the said Thomas Alva Edison, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, I the said Justus B. Entz have sold assigned and tranferred, and by these presents do sell, assign and transfer unto the said Thomas Alva Edison, his heirs or assigns, all my right, title and interest in and to the said Improvement in Dynamo Electric Machines as fully set forth and described in the specification executed by me the 2nd day of January 1889 preparatory to making application for Letters Patent for said improvement, and in and to such Letters Patent of the United States as may be granted upon said application. And I hereby authorize and request the Commissioner of Patents to issue such Letters Patent unto the said Thomas Alva Edison as my assignee. IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto set my hand and seal the 3rd day of January 1889.
