Title
[LB004061], Letter from Thomas Alva Edison to Western Union, Norvin Green, December 23rd, 1878
Editor's Notes
brought to TAE's attention that Green is displeased with TAE's course on new receiver and that perhaps there is a misapprehension in Green's mind that TAE can remove; TAE devoted his attention to the new reciever in the belief that one without a magnet would be advantageous in the prospect of litigation over receivers and terms he proposed to company for this work was for reimpbursement "because it it simpossible to get up sufficient interest in my assistants without a promised reward their salary being small and the amount which would be received under the contract too small to divide among several persons." Expts can go on in regular manner and paid under terms of contract but if WU does not believe it would be foolish to pay extra and should wait until produced in regular manner and paid for under current contract, but TAE under impression company would like to have it as soon as possible
