Title
[LB004466], Letter from Thomas Alva Edison to Jos P Campbell, July 11th, 1879
Editor's Notes
Yours of the 10th is just at hand I am sure if you were situated as I am you would not expect a bonus of $500. The parties who are interested in platinum are strictly 1st class business men bankers and other s in New York and any contrct made with them is perfectly good. I start an expert to the Pacific coast next week to be absent a yar. If you desire I wil draw up a contract giving you the royalty mentioned in my former letter if you will indicate the mine. We are not mining [?] and all we want is platinum. I dont care for the told and would not give a cent a tone for it. All I want is platinum and I am willing to pay for it. In case of success in your mine I will pay you a bonus of $500.
