- Editor's Notes
- Your favor of yesterday is just at hand. I have made a lot of new receivers, several styles of them all of which proved in some way defective. I made 50 of different kinds at an expense of from $15 to $1800 and threw them all away. I want to be satisfied with the instrument before it goes out of my hands, it saves money afterwards. Of course as I am to receive $1 for each instrument in use by the Company its to my advantage to place them in their hands as soon as possible. As long as I saw a chance to improve them I kept at work. I expect now in two weeks to deliver model instruments which will work right in on your telephone exchange system and be perfectly satisfactory.
