Title
[LB006672], Letter from Thomas Alva Edison to Grosvenor Porter Lowrey, December 15th, 1880
Editor's Notes
Your letter of March 25th 1880 in which you stated the arrangements made by you on my behalf with Messrs Drexel Morgan & Co in respect to Portugal, New Zealand, New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria and with J F Navarro Esq in respect to Cuba, and with Messrs Fabbri and Chauncey in repsect to India, ws duly received at about the time of its date, and correctly states the arrangements between us as to the interests of Porter, Lowrey, Soren & Stone; and all the arrangements set forth are in accordance with my authority to you so far as teh countries mentioned are concerned. I would state that if I have not had it understood with both Drexel Morgan & Co and Fabbri & Chauncey that they were to bear the expenses or provide persons or syndicates who would bear the expenses (if such a thing were necessary) to make one installation of a Station in each of the countries named that this was always my intention and supposition. With this understanding I hereby ratify and approve the arrangements made by you and desire you to prepare proper assignments orother contracts carrying out the same. [end of letter some legibility problems about why delay in written approval]
